Tutorial 04
Tutorial 04 (made in PS7)
with selective color
Someone asked me about these icons:
1
2
3![]()
(They all have the same coloring)
Icon #1
1. Crop your base to 100x100px
2. Duplicate base and set to "soft light"
3. Duplicate base three times and set all layers to "screen"
(of course this depends on the base, you might need a layer less or more)
4. Add new layer, fill with #B2FBFE and set to "color burn"
5. Add new layer, fill with #FFD6D6 and set to "soft light"
6. Add new adjustment layer "hue/saturation" => saturation +23
7. Add new adjustment layer "selective color" =>
Reds:
Cyan -100
Yellow +100
Yellows:
Cyan -100
Yellow -100
Blues:
Cyan -100
Yellow -100
Magentas:
Cyan -100
Yellow -89
Black -7
Neutrals:
Cyan +30
Yellow -30
Black -14
8. Duplicate base and bring to the top, set to "soft light"
That takes care of the coloring
Icon #2
Follow steps 1-8
9. Merge all layers
10. Duplicate the new base and desaturate.
11. On the desaturated layer, erase eveything you want to show-up in color.
Icon #3
Follow step 1-8
9. Use this texture by
eledhwen_girl
10. With the "rounded rectangle tool" cut out the middle.
11. Past on top of the icon
12. Blur once.
That's it! Do you have any questions, don't be shy, I live to serve!.
